Salad-On-Ice with Dome Lid
Keep salads and fruit chilled and fresh with this unique acrylic salad bowl featuring a vented ice chamber base. Just fill the base with cubed or crushed ice, place the nesting removable vented grate at the bottom of the bowl, fill the bowl and allow the chill of the ice to pass through to the salad above. The grate also acts as a functional drainer to keep salads from getting soggy. The attractive dome lid keeps cold air in and bugs out.
With the addition of the dome lid, the bowl can also be used as an attractive fruit keeper. Keep the vented lid in place (no ice) and fruit will ripen more perfectly and stay fresh longer than with ordinary fruit bowls.
